In 1968, Merrill Leffler and Neil Lehrman published the first issue of Dryad, a small poetry magazine — it began as a quarterly though after the first several issues publication dates became more variable.

By 1975, Dryad was evolving into Dryad Press — a couple of issues were sent to subscribers as books. A further evolution saw the Press expanding from books of poetry to include fiction and non-fiction.  Our website features the authors and books we have published and that are forthcoming.
